I met Finnish community activists!

I'd never expected to meet Finnish.

Last December, a Japanese friend traveled Finland. He let me know how to say "Hi!" in Finnish. "Moimoi!" I didn't expect to use this word soon.

Three Finnish visited Svanholm. A young woman in her twenties, a old man in his sixties and a handsome man in his forties. When I saw them, I used "Moimoi!". They liked it. :) They live in a small eco-village. They grow their own food but it's very difficult job. They had a plan to visit many eco-villages in south Europe, especially very small communities. They had special skills, one of them was a carpenter and they knew how to build a house. They wanted to help other small eco-villages sharing their skills. It was great!!
On the other hand, I don't have any skill and know-how to share... -.- I like to have a practical skill like a carpenter, a hairdresser, a good cook....

One of them, the handsome guy, introduced himself as a community activist. Das klingt interessant!! He worked to make the network of many communities in Finland.
A community activist... Sounds good!

we shared some information about other communities and they showed me a film about a Italian eco-village. Then they inform me of their community address and Finnish communities` network.
I was very happy because I could meet people who had same interest. It was exactly what I wanted .

If I have a chance to go to Finland, I'd like to visit their community.
